Dear one and all,

In line with OC Mrs Lee's call to promote E-Learning, all cadets will be given the general Yahoo! Groups ID to access the NHNPresource groups. Under the NHNPresource group, relevant notes and materials will be uploaded to aid your progress in NPCC.

I have also created a general Hotmail account for Nan Hua NPCC and anything pertaining to the Unit can be sent to that email address.

The Yahoo! email address is nanhuanpcc@yahoo.com.
The Hotmail address is nanhuanpcc@hotmail.com.

The Username and Password for the above-mentioned email addresses will be given to all during the next training session. The ID is a GENERAL ID for all to use to access the groups and the password should be kept strictly CONFIDENTIAL.

Dear one and all,

CCA EXTRAVAGANZA 2008
Firstly, on behalf of the TOs, HOs and CIs,
we would like to thank all Sec 2, Sec 3s and Sec 4s for their contribution(s) to the success of the CCA Extravaganza Static and Mobile Display!
Well done and keep up the good job!

Of course, there are still areas of improvement for the mobile display as you can see from the video.
They are as follows:
(1) Timing was a bit rushed especially the last part when the squad is formed.
(2) Some were not following the timing and were out of step.
(3) Hentak Kaki, some were not raising their legs 90 degrees up.
(4) Handswing not coordinated and not straightened.
(5) Dressing was not well taken especially the last part when the squad is singing "Trained to be a leader".

Sec 2s and 3s, please kindly take the above as learning points and improve it over time. Jia you because next year, you guys will be doing the Mobile Display again barring any LAST minute changes like this year's.

ATC/SURVIVAL CAMP 2008
Lastly, for the Sec 3s, their Adventure Training Camp (ATC) this year will be replaced by a Survival Camp - a NEW concept introduced by HQ.
Of course, Nan Hua NPCC has been given the job to organise this Camp which will be held in May 2008.
We will be the FIRST area and also the FIRST school to organise such an event.

As such, there are now new promotional guidelines,
Sec 2s must first obtain the their ATC badge when they attend their ATC this year
In Sec 3, they are then allowed to join in for the Survival Camp.
Please note that in order to be promoted to Sergeant and above, you need to have the Survival Camp badge - a pre-requisite stipulated by HQ.

As such, it is COMPULSORY that all Sec 2s and 3s attend the ATC in Sec 2 and the Survival Camp in Sec 3 OR risk not being promoted above the rank of Corporal.
This will be a dent in your CCA record.
