SINGAPORE HUDDLE 2009

Nan Hua NPCC Unit would like to congratulate the following NPCC Units for claiming the top 3 prizes in our Unit's Singapore Huddle 2009 Competition.
They are as follows:

1st - River Valley High School

2nd - Crescent Girls' School

3rd - Tanglin Secondary School

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all participating schools for their support in this event and we look forward to their presence again next year!

Lastly, we would like to acknowledge the effort(s) put in by the NCOs and selected Sec 3s for this event.

SPF-NPCC BADGE 2009 AWARD RECIPIENTS

We are proud to announce that the following 2 cadets from our Unit have been awarded the prestigious SPF-NPCC Badge - the pinnacle award attainable by a NPCC cadet.

They are among 155 other NPCC cadets nationwide to receive the SPF-NPCC Badge this year.

The Award Recipients are as follows:

SSGT (NPCC) Chan Chee Choong
SSGT (NPCC) Lu Jun Wei

The Badge Presentation Ceremony will be held at Victoria School on 3 April 2009 (Friday). Once again, congratulations to the Award Recipients and we look forward to having more recipients next year:)

The reason why Class was dismissed slightly earlier and students were advised to leave the school immediately.

Traffic diverted at Clementi for operations to render a war relic safe
(03 March 2009)

SINGAPORE: Police are currently advising members of the public to stay away from parts of Clementi near Block 411 Commonwealth Avenue West. Operations are going on to render safe a war relic that was found at the construction site there (near Nan Hua High School).

Police will be diverting traffic from Clementi Road, in the direction of Bukit Timah from the junction with AYE and Clementi Road, in the direction of Bukit Timah from the junction with Dover Road.

Police advised the public not to be alarmed and that they can call the police hotline at 1800-774 0000 for further enquiries on the matter. - CNA/vm
